Member Testimonials

“I genuinely get so excited for the new club magazine to be released! The community portal has been incredibly helpful for me, especially since I don’t have many people around who can offer guidance or answer photography-related questions. The club has been a great way for me to level up my photography skills without feeling overwhelmed by too much text or endless videos. I love reflective journaling, and there's no shortage of opportunities to immerse myself in it.”

— Dita Arucidisová (read her interview in The Journal here)

“The chance to learn, exchange ideas, and connect with like-minded creatives is invaluable. Photography can sometimes feel isolating, but this club creates a sense of connection and community.”

You don’t need to be.

This is the most common query we get, and there’s no need to travel, or have an upcoming trip planned in order to join the club. Many members join between trips, when they’re planning, editing, or simply wanting to stay inspired.

Some are photographing locally.
Some are revisiting past journeys.
Some are just enjoying seeing where others are exploring.

It’s a space to stay connected to photography, wherever you are, and there’s no requirement to be travelling; a simple curiosity in photographing the world around you is enough!

“What if I’m not travelling right now?”

Frequently Asked Questions -

These are some questions you may want the answers to, but if your question isn’t here, feel free to reach out via email to hello@thewanderinglens.com and I’ll happily chat.

  • Anyone with an interest in travel and photography. The club is open to all levels, whether you’re just getting started or have years of experience.

It’s an online space, so you’re welcome to join from anywhere in the world. We’ve got members in over 20 countries, the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Singapore…even Liechtenstein!

  • Access to The Travel Photographer’s Journal, the private community space, weekly prompts like Travel Thursdays, and a growing collection of guides and creative resources.

New content and shared moments are added each month, so there’s always something fresh to return to.

Plus…access to photography friends around the world 😊

  • At the moment, the club is offered in 6-month and annual memberships rather than monthly. This helps create a more consistent community experience and gives members time to enjoy the magazine, conversations, and resources without feeling rushed.

The 6-month option is there for those wanting a shorter commitment, however, 90% of members are currently on the annual membership as it’s better value, you join, and have an entire year to explore, connect + experiment!

  • Absolutely! The club is separate from the courses, anyone can join whether you’ve been in the community for five years or five minutes.

By joining, you’ll receive a members-only 15% discount if you wish to access the courses in the future, but there’s no pressure to do so

  • Reply from club founder, Lisa - As an introvert and someone who prefers to hide in the bathroom during networking events, I get it, and it’s completely okay if you’d like to join the club and watch from the sidelines!

It’s your club to use however you wish, the resources alone are worth the annual membership fee, with a library of itineraries, creative challenges, and resources growing each month. You can participate in the chat or challenges as much, or as little as you wish.

  • The club is built using Squarespace and unfortunately, their membership pricing options don’t currently allow for upgrades and adjustments in membership tiers.

However, until they update this (which is hopefully soon), the best way to upgrade to annual is to cancel the 6-month membership, join via the annual and then I can manually refund the difference. If you’re considering membership options and think you may enjoy this club and eventually want to upgrade to annual, I’d recommend opting for the annual membership from the start to give yourself a full year of creative inspiration + community.

  • Due to the digital nature of everything inside the club, and the downloadable resources, it’s not possible to provide a refund. You can however opt to cancel your membership at any time, but I’d recommend doing so closer to the end of your chosen membership time frame to take full advantage of the monthly content + conversations.

  • Yes, you can manage or cancel your membership at any time. This is possible via your account profile after logging in.

You’ll receive an email reminder two-weeks before your next membership billing cycle is due, and can decide if you wish to cancel or continue in our community :)

  • It’s a mix of both, with a strong focus on community and inspiration.

Inside the club, there’s a growing library of downloadable eBooks, creative challenges, and guides covering a range of photography styles, from landscapes and wildlife to aerial perspectives and storytelling.

They’re designed to support your photography in a practical, inspiring way, without feeling like something you need to complete.

Most members come for the shared experience, conversations, and connection, and dip into the resources whenever they’re looking for direction or a fresh idea.

  • Not at all. Many members join between trips to stay inspired, plan future travels, or simply enjoy seeing where others are exploring.

Some are photographing locally, others are revisiting past journeys. The club fits around wherever you are.

Welcome to The Travel Photography Club!

I’m Lisa and wanted to share a quick note before you continue browsing. The Travel Photography Club has been a long time coming and I’m beyond excited to bring this concept to life, blending the travel insights + itineraries of The Wandering Lens with the creative resources of the courses.

I’ve met many of you virtually, and I’ve travelled with others on tours, and I know there are many more talented people out there, maybe you, who I can’t wait to connect with inside the club.

The doors are now open for members. There’s a lot of creative goodies and content waiting inside the club, but I’ll be sharing more every month. I like to think of the club as a little corner of the internet for those of us who always like to have a trip planned, who never want to miss a sunset, have a list of dream locations to visit, and who simply love exploring the world with their camera. I know you'll be surprised by what's waiting for you inside the club and can’t wait to connect with you soon if you decide to join.

I’m just an email away if you have any questions - hello@thewanderinglens.com

“The Wandering Lens has, perhaps for the first time brought together travel photographers who are keen to develop their craft and business skills, and exchange ideas on locations and subject matter. As a past category winner in the Travel Photographer of the Year competition, I am very pleased to see this initiative starting up and in joining, to learn some new skills myself.” Peter, UK
